U.S. News names four HCA Midwest hospitals to 2025–2026 High Performing list
Overland Park, Kan. — HCA Midwest Health announced today that Research Medical Center, Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Centerpoint Medical Center, and Menorah Medical Center have been named in U.S. News & World Report’s 2025–2026 Best Hospitals list for High Performing Hospitals. U.S. News & World Report is the global authority in health journalism to help consumers make confident, informed decisions about their care. HCA Midwest Health is the Kansas City area’s largest healthcare provider.
The four HCA Midwest Health hospitals are recognized as High Performing for 11 procedures and conditions:
- Research Medical Center: Leukemia, Lymphoma & Myeloma, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Kidney Failure
- Overland Park Regional Medical Center: Heart Arrhythmia
- Centerpoint Medical Center: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
- Menorah Medical Center: Colon Cancer Surgery, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Kidney Failure, Hip Replacement; Knee Replacement, Pneumonia
This is the highest distinction a hospital can earn for U.S. News’ Best Hospitals Procedures & Conditions ratings, and it is designed to assist patients and their health care providers in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or elective procedures. U.S. News evaluated more than 4,400 hospitals across 15 adult specialties and 22 procedures and conditions; only 38% of evaluated hospitals earned even one such rating. U.S. News’ expanded analysis this year for the Procedures & Conditions ratings methodology measured patient outcomes using risk-adjusted data from over 800 million records of patient care.
“We recognize how important these rankings are to patients and families making critical healthcare decisions,” said HCA Midwest Health President Keith Zimmerman. “This recognition from U.S. News & World Report reflects the unwavering commitment of our physicians, nurses and care teams to delivering exceptional, accessible care every day. As Kansas City’s largest healthcare provider, we are honored to serve our communities and remain focused on advancing quality, outcomes and the overall health of those who count on us.”
“For more than three decades, U.S. News has been an invaluable guide for patients,” said Managing Editor and Chief of Health Analysis Ben Harder at U.S. News. “With a ‘Best Hospital’ recognition, Americans, in consultation with their medical providers, can confidently choose a regional hospital known for providing superior care for their specific illness or condition.”
