Overland Park, Kan. — Overland Park Regional Medical Center — part of HCA Midwest Health, Kansas City’s leading healthcare provider — has named Joseph Reuben, MD, MBA, FACEP, as chief medical officer.
Dr. Reuben brings more than two decades of clinical and physician leadership experience, most recently serving as chief medical officer at Menorah Medical Center. In that role, he worked closely with physicians and clinical teams to strengthen and improve quality and safety performance, and advanced physician engagement and satisfaction.

In addition to his hospital leadership experience, Dr. Reuben has served in enterprise roles across HCA Healthcare, including participation in clinical quality and physician engagement workgroups and as chair of the EMTALA Task Force, which focuses on patient access to emergency care. He is a board-certified emergency physician and continues to bring a front-line clinical perspective to his leadership approach.

Dr. Reuben earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Missouri–Columbia. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Illinois–Chicago.
