HCA Midwest Health names Sean Kamber as CEO of Menorah Medical Center

Seasoned healthcare executive is known for relational leadership and focus on patient-centered care.

Today, HCA Midwest Health, Kansas City's largest healthcare, announced that Sean Kamber, FACHE, has been named Menorah Medical Center’s new chief executive officer. Menorah Medical Center is part of HCA Midwest Health, Kansas City’s largest healthcare provider.                

With nearly 15 years of executive healthcare leadership, Kamber brings a proven record of successfully growing volume, achieving top quality metrics and engaging colleagues, physicians, community partners and other key stakeholders. He joins Menorah Medical Center from HCA Healthcare’s North Texas Division, where he has served six years as CEO of Medical City Weatherford.

During Kamber’s tenure, Medical City Weatherford experienced significant growth in services such as surgery, orthopedics, cardiology, and emergency visits. In addition, the facility made numerous quality improvements in stroke care, cesarean births, sepsis, and hospital-acquired infections, and it achieved national quality ratings from Healthgrades and Leapfrog. Kamber excels at leading high-performing teams and has led efforts that have increased engagement among physicians, nurses, and colleagues.

Prior to becoming CEO, Kamber served HCA Healthcare’s Gulf Coast Division as vice president of rural and community outreach, developing strategic opportunities for collaboration in the secondary and tertiary service areas. He also previously served as Medical City Weatherford’s chief operating officer.

He is an excellent fit to lead the hospital into its next growth phase.”

Kamber earned a bachelor’s in business administration from Texas Tech University in Lubbock and a master’s in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio. He is also a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
