At age 23 Dr. Sokol graduated in the top 20% of the class of 1983 from the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. After authoring a book chapter, publishing several academic articles, and teaching medical students, Dr. Sokol completed a DUAL residency in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry from Brown University. As a commissioned officer in the United States Army, Dr. Sokol completed a fellowship in endocrinology at Walter Reed Arm

Practicing medicine as a vocation, I act as a guide for the patient, using the best available scientifically-sound data. I always try to put myself in the shoes of the patient, to understand from their perspective, and to support the patient in making the best possible choices to benefit their health.
