Nisreen Haideri, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained medical oncologist/hematologist with Midwest Oncology Associates, part of the Sarah Cannon Cancer Network. She is affiliated with Menorah Medical Center and Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

I am a strong advocate of patient’s choice in their cancer treatment decision-making process by presenting the medical options and recommendations for an informed decision by the patient. Caring and Compassionate: Oncology is not just about chemotherapy! I strive to be at the front line with patients to help them through their journey in fighting cancer at every step. Comprehensive Approach: I believe in coordinating a comprehensive and rehabilitative approach. Along with medical treatment, it can include coordinating review of nutrition, occupational and physical therapy, pain control, and psychological support options for the patient as well as their families as needed. Teamwork: You are not alone! I believe in effective teamwork with physicians of various subspecialties, nurses, chemotherapy team, pharmacy, nurse navigators, and social workers. Prevention: My focus is on prevention with screening strategies for patients and families at high risk to detect early or premalignant cancers and adapting lifestyle changes to reduce cancer incidence. I focus on genetic family testing where needed for prevention or early detection in familial incidences. Rehabilitation: I believe in treating cancer and then following up with rehabilitative services as needed for a more efficient return to normalcy to the extent possible.
